How often do I get paid and when?
You will get paid twice per month. Pay periods end on the 16th and the last day of each month. If a pay date is a Saturday, Sunday, or a holiday, you will be paid the business day prior.
What is the dress policy?
BPMI has a Dress for your Day policy, which allows employees to choose the appropriate attire for the business of each workday. (For example, if you're meeting with the general manager or the government, you may choose to suit up. If you have no meetings scheduled for the day, jeans may be your preference.) Our employees are expected to use good professional judgment in choosing their apparel. Clothing that exposes too much of the body areas such as the back, chest, neckline, stomach, or feet, is not appropriate for the workplace. If in doubt, err on the side of conservatism.
Some examples of appropriate dress are as follows:

Can you explain 9/80?
A 9/80 is a compressed work schedule where 80 hours are worked over 9 days in each 2-week period. Employees on 9/80 will be scheduled to work eight 9-hour days, one 8-hour day, and have one day off in a 2-week period. The day off will be scheduled for Friday or Monday. So, an employee on a Friday 9/80 schedule would have a schedule that looks like:
Monday through Thursday, week 1 of 2: 9 hours
Friday, week 1 of 2: 8 hours
Monday through Thursday, week 2 of 2: 9 hours
Friday, week 2 of 2: off
By working just 1 extra hour Monday through Thursday, 9/80 participants get 26 extra days off per year.
When completing the Statement of Residence form, do I continue to use my permanent address, or should I list my current temporary address?
You should list the local address you’re using while employed with BPMI.
I'm a nursing mother. Does BPMI have a dedicated space for pumping?
Yes! Both the Pittsburgh and Schenectady offices have mother's rooms; there are four mother's rooms in Pittsburgh (one on each floor) and one in Schenectady. They are furnished with a refrigerator, microwave, and sink, as well as a lounge chair with a table, a shelving unit, and electrical outlets.
On your first day of work, you'll be assigned a sponsor to show you the ropes.
