Flexible Start/End Times
BPMI employees may choose a standard work schedule with a typical start time between 6:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. This flexibility allows for greater work-life balance to allow employees to manage at-home responsibilities with their work responsibilities.
Teleworking Opportunities
BPMI does business within high-security facilities, which means a lot of our information stays protected within our walls (both physically and digitally); however, there is also a lot of work that accommodates teleworking! Day by day, our capabilities grow to allow more and more work-from-home opportunities. Ask your Talent Acquisition professional if the position you applied for can support teleworking.
9/80 Alternative Work Schedule
To help employees better balance work and personal life demands, a 9/80 Alternative Work Schedule option is available. This is a compressed work schedule where 80 hours are worked over nine days in a two-week period. Employees on 9/80 will be scheduled to work eight 9-hour days, one 8-hour day, and have one day off (generally Friday) in a two-week period.
Personal Time Off
Paid personal time off is provided for vacation and holidays. One hundred twenty (120) hours of paid time off is accrued during the first year for full-time hires, along with 11 paid holidays. Time may be used in one-hour increments. We also offer paid personal time off for part-time employees.
Medical Time Off
Paid medical time off is provided for mental or physical illness, injury, or medical appointments for the employee or employee's immediate family. Employees are provided with 56 hours of medical time at the start of each year. Time may be used in one-hour increments. We also offer paid medical time off for part-time employees, casual employees, and interns/co-ops.
Paid Parental Leave
BPMI provides up to two weeks paid time off for the birth or nonbirth parent/employee to enable employees to care for and bond with biological newborns and adoptive children.
For employees adding to their family, we recognize their need for paid time off to bond with their new child without the worry of it affecting their paycheck. In addition to the paid short-term disability and FMLA continuous unpaid leave for bonding, BPMI’s parental leave offers two additional weeks of 100% wage replacement to both birth and nonbirth parent/employee.
