Plan your Visit

We’re excited to see you! We thrive when we are connecting with people and cultivating relationships and eagerly welcome visitors and guests; however, we do have some very important rules and regulations that must be followed during your visit—our national security depends on it!

High-level security, safety, and quality are fundamental to protecting the intelligence of our national defense and U.S. Navy.

We take our role as a Prime Contractor for the U.S. Navy very seriously and this includes maintaining a high level of security at all times at all of our locations. Due to the sensitivity of our information, our facilities are designed to support both unclassified and classified work. Security measures are required to access most physical parts of our facilities, which means that every employee is required to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy security clearance. This also means that individuals without the necessary clearances are not permitted to freely access the classified parts of our buildings. To welcome visitors, applicants, and guests, we do offer common areas where clearances are not required.

Requesting Special Needs or Accommodations

Any applicant with a physical or mental disability who requires special assistance or a reasonable accommodation for any part of the application process may send an email to BPMIrecruiting@unnpp.gov requesting reasonable accommodation.

Before you leave your car, know that due to security regulations, all articles brought into the building, including briefcases and purses, are subject to inspection by the security guard.

Please leave all cell phones, personal electronics (including smart or fitness watches), and recordable media (thumb drives, etc.) in your car or with the security guard. These items are prohibited.
Bring photo identification with you and keep it with you during your stay.

When you arrive for your interview or visit, enter through the main entrance (in Monroeville, you will see our logo at the main entrance) and advise the security guard that you have an appointment and with whom. The security guard will provide you with further instructions as you wait for your BPMI escort to greet you.

During your visit, you will be provided a visitor identification badge so our workforce is aware that you have not been cleared by the government to have independent access to our facilities.

Some of our facilities are rather large, but you will not need to worry about getting lost. A BPMI escort is available to stay with visitors. This individual may act as your guide during your visit, ensuring you have access to our restrooms, mother’s room, cafeteria, and meeting rooms.

At the end of your visit, your BPMI escort will bring back to the guard station where you’ll return your visitor badge and check out for the day. If you have any further questions about your travels home, please don’t hesitate to ask.

If you were at one of our facilities for a job interview, your Talent Acquisition professional will explain the rest of the interviewing process, so you leave confident about next steps or communications.

Thank you for visiting BPMI! We're glad you came and hope you enjoyed your visit.
